DC Diatribe

I have heard many times over the years Washington DC is “the” place for escorting in the United States. Between the embassies, military, lobbyists, and of course, the politicians, it would seem there would be a good stock pile of possible customers.

However, I had not found any blogs by DC area providers, till I came across this.

I’m guessing it will be at least one more week before it is taken down or makes the front page of the news.

UPDATE: Seems former CIA Director Porter Goss has been linked to a prostitution/bribery/poker ring. Amazing how these things seem to happen to the God-Anointed Party of Good Christian Moral Values.

Evidently this will continue to spread as numerous news reports indicate the FBI has served search warrants on the home and office of the former No. 3 official of the CIA. I wonder if they pulled the agents from Attorney General Gonzales’s Anti-Porn task force?

Interruptions

Life has a way of throwing things at us that forces our plans to change. Sometimes these things are major, sometimes minor in the grand scheme of things, but whatever level the reach on your personal color-coded alert level chart, they do end up changing what you set out to do.

Unfortunately, I’m in one of those times where my plans have to be adjusted, in particular, with what I wished to do with The Courtesan Connection. Basically, I will not be able to update it or post on a regular basis.

Eventually, this will change. How soon is hard to guess, it will probably be a few months. I am disappointed, as I am enjoying reading what I find on the blogs listed here, and have been very encouraged by the comments left by several of you.

I am actively seeking out having a few of you guest blog here, in particular Moonlighting (please do get in touch). If you are interested, please send an email, or leave a comment. I will not be able to respond right away, but will as soon as I can.

In the meantime, this blog will stay up, and I will try to do what I can with it as time and opportunity allow.

I apologize for this. What is throwing me off is in a way, relatively minor. Nothing like what has impacted some of the other bloggers highlighted here. Unfortunately, I didn’t anticipate it, nor have the resources to compensate for it in the way I would like, hence, the interruption.

Hanging tough

Clandestine Call Girl (CCG) has decided to continue to post. I am happy about that, though some what still concerned. CCG is a very good writer, and does not fear to look at things about herself, her life, and her decisions in a way that is insightful and very critical. Nor is she afraid to write about people and events in a forthright manner. Being brutally honest requires thought, insight, and a willingness to accept your own flaws and responsibility. It is not something that comes naturally to most. CCG has nurtured that in her writing. I’m glad she will continue to share what she writes.

Jane of Fallen Girl Falling has returned from a hiatus. Her blog certainly is one to watch. I’m looking forward to her posts and continued development. It is nice to move a blog out of “Inactive Blogs” and not to “Dead Blogs”. Welcome back Jane!

Just Another Escort of “Compartments” has opened up her blog. The hints of great stories to tell of the past and a future certainly are enticing. Much as I await the results of Sophia’s chess game, this appears to be quite enticing.

More and more, I find myself amazed at the breadth of Note’s blog. I am still at the point where I have to read in depth many of the blogs listed here. But since Note was kind enough to leave a few comments, and link here, I have made it a priority to read his. I would not be surprised if to see a book deal come his way this year.

So, now what? Well, I’m continuing with trying to get some administrative things done with this blog. The “Links Policy” and “Link Exchange Info” under “About” are part of that. I also am working on an FAQ to make some things clear (though in fact I have no real questions to respond to). Also, I am going through the blogs as I can to identify common themes, topics and issues to be highlighted and brought up. Unfortunately, I have limited time and even more limited computer time. So this process is proving to be slower than I would wish. A “Suggestions” page will be up shortly in the “About” section. Please feel free to leave your thoughts, ideas and feedback there when it does not fit with any other post or page.
